The Whole Estate

Polo House is not a ballroom with a wedding placed inside it. It is a house, and for a weekend it belongs entirely to one guest list.

Six suites and two bungalows in the main house on Edison Street. Six standalone bungalows a short walk down Sagunto Street. Twenty eight of your people sleep on the property, breakfast is made every morning, and wine and charcuterie appear every evening without anyone asking.

The restaurants and tasting rooms of downtown Santa Ynez are on foot from the front door, so the rehearsal dinner and the last drink of the night need no car at all.

A Wedding You Never Have to Leave

One address for the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, the long dinner and the slow farewell breakfast. No shuttles between a venue and a hotel, no last call that sends everyone driving down a dark valley road.

Ceremony under the gazebo, cocktails on the porch, dinner in the wine garden, and the night landing at the fire pit. Every bed is a hundred steps from where you said your vows.

Ways to Marry Here

Choose the Celebration That Fits Your List

One takes over the whole property. One is just the two of you and the few people who matter most. Neither asks you to scale a large wedding down. And if you are marrying elsewhere in the valley, the third is where your people stay.

Sixteen to forty guests

The Wedding Weekend · Sample Timeline

Three Days, One Address

This is the running order most couples land on, Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. Most of it is already part of every stay here: the welcome party is our evening aperitif, and the farewell brunch is breakfast.

Arrival and the Aperitif

Check in runs from four to six, then everyone gathers in the wine garden for local wine, charcuterie, flatbreads and seasonal bites. Your welcome party, included in every stay.

A Welcome Party Fieldside

No other venue in this valley comes with a polo field. La Herradura sits minutes up Baseline Avenue, founded by Memo and Meghan Gracida.

Spend the day fieldside with the club, or take a first swing at The Polo School, where the two hour intro clinics need no riding experience at all. Then come home to the estate for dinner.

Visit La Herradura

Available on request, subject to the club calendar. The ceremony itself happens here at the estate, under the gazebo.

Before You Ask

Questions We Hear Most

Can you host more than forty guests?

Not seated on the property. Forty is an honest ceiling, and it is the reason a wedding here feels the way it does. If your list is larger, tell us anyway: we will point you to venues in the valley that fit, and we can still host your closest people and the weekend around the wedding.

How late can the celebration run outdoors?

The wine garden closes at 8:00 pm and the other outdoor areas at 9:00 pm, with quiet hours across the property from 9:00 pm to 9:00 am. That is the standing policy for every guest, and it exists because of the county ordinance and our neighbors in town. The evening carries on inside the main house, which is where most of our couples end up anyway. If your celebration needs later outdoor hours, raise it on the first call: it is a conversation with the county, not something we can promise on a web page.

Are children welcome?

Yes. Children ages two to eleven are $25 a night and children under two stay free. Plenty of couples here still choose an adults only celebration, and we are glad to run it either way. Pets are welcome in Bungalows 1 to 6 for a $75 fee per stay.

How do we actually get married in California?

You will need a Santa Barbara County marriage license and a licensed officiant. Both are straightforward, and we can recommend officiants who marry couples here regularly.
